2:40 PM

Some interesting things in the lab of late and some, well, not so intriguing. My first attempt at Time Magick wasn't exactly successful, as far as using a tesseract. The visualization was a bit too difficult to maintain so I'll have to make some alterations. The negative aspect to this was, in part, due to my quitting smoking. Let's just say that I did get somewhat 'ruffled' at my lack of success so it's an area I will be addressing in the coming weeks.

Another series of experiments involving my 'uncommon sense' were cause for considerably more optimism. Aimed at improving one's psychic senses, namely in viewing future events, I have incorporated a number of exercises over the years to help with this. My favorite is probably the "Healing Meadow", where I allow my consciousness to drift forward towards a large wooden door. Around its exterior are a series of runes that light up when I run a hand over them to grant me entry. Once inside, I am greeted to a very red, early morning sun and reddish coloured flowers that produce a fine red mist. As we know, the root chakra's associated colour is red. Using rhythmic breathing, I inhale through the root chakra and picture the red energy engulfing my entire body. I continue on along the path, activating and breathing in through each chakra in turn - orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.

At the end of the trail, I walk along a well-worn path that skirts a waterfall with a beautiful rainbow and take a few moments to sit on a flat rock to enjoy the scene. I allow the rainbow to slowly come my way and then cover me for a few normal breaths before sending it back. In this realm of spirit, we can do anything and I am quite the diver here...hehe.  I always end with a sweet swan dive into the pool below and picture swallowing a mouthful of the pure, cold water and imagine it coursing through me with its refreshment.

All right, that can be time consuming so, a lot of times, especially lately, I concentrate on only breathing in through one chakra. This is a crucial step towards the next progression of actually picturing a future event in our lives. I allow myself one unhurried rhythmic breath before picturing a white screen being unfolded in front of me. Sometimes, I visualize the old kind that one had to unroll to watch a movie, like in a school classroom. The crucial key is to be able to actually see the white screen. The final aspect is to simply say, either aloud or in your mind, "I now open myself to my higher self. I allow whatever it wants to show me about my future to appear now."

One point that should be stressed is not to get uptight and force anything. Don't get nervous or annoyed, just allow it to happen.  I mention this because I have had to learn this lesson on a few occasions and it can be difficult but very worthwhile, in the ned result. What can one expect from working this type of magick? Nothing at all...I've found that any type of preconceptions or expectations can have a negative effect on the outcome.

Some Results: On one occasion, I was brought to a room with white curtains blowing in a gentle breeze. As I walked towards them, I noticed a sliding door that led out onto a terrace of sorts. Outside it was night and there was a table and chairs arranged to one side, suitable for a balcony. Running around the exterior was a black metal railing and below me, an enormous city was bathed in lights and off to one side was a very high tower that was unmistakable.

On another tour, I found myself staring at black metal bars and allowed a bit of panic to surface, immediately thinking they were for a prison. They opened (thankfully) on to a huge lawn with a curving driveway that ran in front of a two-storey house that looked like a ginger bread house, with plants and flowers tastefully arranged in front. It was only as I came close to the home that I looked down and noticed a bottle of wine or champagne in one hand and a wrapped present under my arm. I did not go to the front door, which indicated I had been there before, but instead went around the side of the house. In the rear was a large pool with tables set up with white table cloths, evidently for some kind of party or celebration. I know there were people there but I ignored them for some reason and set my gifts down. A dog, with white and beige hair bounded up to me and I felt incredible joy at seeing it and ended up rolling around on the ground with it. Hmmmm, perhaps, I had a few before I arrived???

If you are going to try this, don't be shy to make the method your own, especially the incantation. Adjust it to suit your needs and requests/requirements. If something appears that seems too fantastic, your imagination may be playing games or maybe not. Look at your hands and feet, check out your clothes and try to employ your senses to determine its validity as a future event. If you are undergoing a change in your life or foresee one in your future, don't rule anything out that you are shown. Of course, no matter the outcome, it is always appropriate to thank your higher self and establishing a purposeful dialogue, which many of us do anyways when we talk to ourselves, is NEVER a bad thing.

Man says he was performing exorcism when wife died
A man accused of killing his wife said he was holding her facedown on the floor during an exorcism when the devil entered his body and caused her to die, according to a probable cause statement. Jan David Clark, 60, of Odessa was arrested Friday after authorities went to his home and found Susan Kay Clark's body wrapped in a bed sheet with a cross and sword on top of it.

Psychic junkie rehab
Every day, thousands of people across America turn to total strangers for advice and consultation as a coping mechanism for the lack of control or clarity in their own lives. Though usually fun and harmless, there’s another story lurking beneath the online world of pay-by-the-minute psychics. A story that has gone virtually untold. The story of the psychic junkie.

Plasma life forms - aliens from a parallel Earth
According to plasma metaphysics (Jay Alfred, Our Invisible Bodies, 2006), the physical-dense Earth is gravitationally coupled to a counterpart dark matter Earth composed of low density plasma. This "sister" Earth was co-accreted with the physical-dense Earth about 4.6 billion years ago from dark matter components in the embryonic Solar System.

Pilot restrained after 'talking to God' on flight to Heathrow
The co-pilot of a Heathrow-bound passenger flight had to be dragged from the cockpit and handcuffed after suffering an apparent mental breakdown in mid-air, it emerged yesterday.

Jack Houck PK Spoonbending party photos
Jack Houck is a former systems engineer for Boeing, the aerospace company. He has an MS degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Michigan. Jack Houck is also famous for the organization of PK parties. In these PK parties participants learn and perform by themselves spoon bending (or fork bending, for that matter).

Haunted America: The Stanley Hotel
The Stanley Hotel, located in Estes Park, Colo., has nearly a century of history. The hotel was also the inspiration for the Overlook Hotel, the setting for Stephen King's masterpiece The Shining. It has also hosted some famous names such as Stephen King, Theodore Roosevelt, and even the Emperor and Empress of Japan. But the Stanley may be hosting more than just guests. It has been the site of numerous reports of supposed hauntings.

A man was arrested recently for drunkenness when he stood with his arms around a lamp pole shouting, "Let me in!". When told that nobody lived there, he replied, "Don't lie. There's a light on upstairs!"

Alexander Woolcott arrived at a friend's home one evening during a severe storm and said, "I want to slip out of these wet clothes and into a dry martini."

A man bumped into an acquaintance at a bar and remarked, "I thought you'd given up drinking. What's wrong? No self control?" The other man replied, "Sure. I've got lots of self control. I'm just too strong to be a slave to it."

Lady Randolph had invited George Bernard Shaw, a well-known vegetarian, to a luncheon and received a curt note, saying: "Certainly not. What makes you think I would alter my well-known habits?" Lady Randolph, however, was not at a loss for a reply and wrote: "Know nothing about your habits. Hope they're not as bad as your manners."

An arrogant bachelor failed to even acknowledge the dinner invitation of an unattractive female acquaintance. Several days later he met her on the street and said, "If I'm not mistaken, you asked me to dinner last Thursday?" The woman looked at him in puzzlement for a moment before brightening and said, "Oh yes, I did at that. And were you there?"

There's good news and bad...On the negative side, it appears that somebody has taken my email address and has been using it to send out spam - for penis enlargement products!!!! Yeah, I am pissed. I have had the same addie for years and it is somewhat unique and reflects my inclination towards writing - dark_scriptor@yahoo.ca  Further inquries indicate that it was harvested and one friend thinks by somebody that knows me, and that is pretty damn annoying. One doesn't just come up with an address like that out of the blue, you have to agree. They haven't gained access to my account, they are just using the email address and I have been getting a LOT of returned emails that I sure as hell didn't send, indicating that I am sending out spam. OK, breath in slowly...and out...hehe.

On the plus side...some very good news. This past week, I received notice from a literary agency that extended a formal invitation to represent me and my writing. If you're familiar with the writing and publishing world, you'll know it is extremely difficult to get an agency willing to take a chance on an unpublished writer. I've had some of my poetry published but never a novel so this is a HUGE step for me and I am, understandably, extremely pleased. They based their decision on "The God/dess Remnant", a novel that I've spent the better part of the last year writing and I still have some re-working to do of the plot. And I need to have it critiqued by an "unintersted third party" which is pretty much standard prodedure and would have to be done regardless...approaching a publisher directly without this would be a quick ticket to the junk pile.

The non-smoking is going pretty well...I am finding myself with a noticeably shortened fuse but hopefully that will resolve itself in time as my nervous system makes its way back to normal, without the nicotine affecting it. Picked up the Matt Dusk CD and gotta say I love it! The boy has got an incredible voice and the album has got some amazing variety, if you like jazz, R&B and a touch of big band flavour. Was given a quick lesson in making snap judgements as well. He's got one tune entitled "All About Me" and before listening to it, I pictured something with content that "rappers" would likely sing about. Nothing could have been further from the truth. I had tears in my eyes listening to it...it reflected quite a struggle he'd endured and the words were incredibly heartfelt. Another tear-jerker - hey, I don't mind admitting to shedding a few!! - is called "A Million Kisses Late"...Ah, those long lost loves.  Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a great week!

See you in the ether!

Morning, Nick. Visualization is something I've had a lot of trouble with, but I really like the mental image you've painted for me with your words. I wish you lived near me; I'd be visiting you for lessons on how to activate chakras. Mine are in such a bad state that I'd be surprised if any of them opened up, to be perfectly honest...

Come on by for a smile or two, my friend - Manic Monday is up. Other than that, have a great day and a great week ahead, and keep working on your growth!

Hi Nick. It's your crazy Canuck friend, here, reincarnated into something which I hope will be helpful to the community, and helpful to Bravenet, too. I know - I'm nuts.

Hey Nick good to hear from you! Sorry to hear your partner has been out with pneumonia; I sure hope he/she gets better soon. Glad you like the new place; Bravenet doesn't have anything like this, so I feel a little bit like a pioneer with it. I hope it turns out to be a good thing.

Manic Monday is up at the Tree, too, if you feel like dropping by. Hopefully, it will make people smile about the time change...

Have a good day and a great week, Nick, and thanks again for checking out the Zone.

Hi Nick. Just dropping in to see what's new and let you know I'm thinking about you. I hope your partner is feeling better, these days; it's a nasty bug people have been catching, that's for sure, and I sure hope it's about finished making its rounds...

Take care of yourself, my friend.
